Big Machine Records duo Steel Magnolia continues to garner both critical and commercial success as this week saw the rising stars earn two 2010 CMT Music Award Nominations as well as a Top 10 hit.

History-making new duo Steel Magnolia (comprised of Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones) earned two 2010 CMT Music Awards on Monday – the first for “Duo Video of the Year” for their debut single, “Keep On Lovin’ You,” which tells the true-life story of how the duo met and fell in love in a Nashville karaoke bar.

Steel Magnolia also picked up a nomination for one of the biggest honors at the upcoming awards ceremony --- the nod for “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year.”

“We had such a blast working with Trey Fanjoy on the video for ‘Keep On Lovin’ You,’" says Jones of Steel Magnolia’s first shoot. “We knew we were in good hands from the moment we walked on set. Trey works fast. She’s a creative force and as a director she brings out the best in you. It was amazing to be able to work with and learn from her on the shoot. We’re looking forward to our next one!”

“To be nominated for not one, but two CMT Music Awards is so exciting. And to get a Top 10 hit in the very same day feels absolutely surreal,” says Linsey. “It’s like we’re living a dream. We are so thankful for every team member, every radio station that is playing our music and for every fan that buys our music, comes to our shows or writes us MySpace messages. We don’t take any of it for granted.”

Steel Magnolia’s double CMT Music Awards nominations come on the heels of the duo’s 2010 Academy of Country Music Award Nominations for both overall Top Vocal Duo of the Year and also Top New Vocal Duo.

Also on Monday, Steel Magnolia’s debut single, “Keep On Lovin’ You,” soared into the Top 10 on the Billboard Top Country Songs Chart, solidifying Steel Magnolia as one of the hottest new acts in Country music.
